Enjoying your retirement
|
At the Care Homes Guide we like to think
'Retirement is when you have time and want to do things that interest
you'.
Some people take the opportunity to fulfil their lifetime ambitions, build their
own homes, travel round the world, set up their own businesses, start a new
hobby, do something for others or have a lifestyle change and move to a
retirement community or village.
Our dedicated retirement section, within the Guide, helps to provide you with
useful information to make sure you enjoy your retirement and golden years to
the full.

Retirement Property
Despite the current down turn in the property market, the specialist retirement property market is still in great demand, and it's a market that is set to grow and grow. For those inexperienced in searching this property sector, however, confusion surrounding exactly what is offered by different retirement developments can quickly arise. This confusion is fuelled by a wide range of different terms that are used to describe whether a property has simply been designed with the needs of an elder occupant in mind, whether it comes with the full professional support and services or a registered care home, or if it sits somewhere in between.
To simply your search we have categorised the homes and villages into the levels of care that is provided or available. The Care Levels range from 1 – 5 where level 1 has a manager onsite during office hours, to level 5 where onsite nursing care is available. Click here to find out more about the levels of care available.
