Carebase Limited

The Care Homes guide is pleased to introduce you to Carebase Limited, an independent group of care homes across the South East of England providing excellent residential, nursing and dementia care for elderly people.

Carebase purchased its first care home in 1990, since that time the company has grown based on its values of courtesy and service to their residents, relatives, staff and suppliers. Currently the group has 15 care homes across the South East England providing accommodation for 940 residents. Carebase is continuing to develop and expand the group and is hoping to provide over 300 additional beds by December 2008.

All the Carebase homes provide a high standard of service and accommodation but there are two that shine out above the rest and we feel deserve a special mention. They are:

The Spinney Care Home in Chingford. and Elizabeth Park Care Home in Guilford Surrey

Both care homes have been awarded excellent reports from the Inspectors for their achievements.

The Spinney

In Chingford.is an excellent home, with a superb reputation for providing its residents with very high levels of care. The home prides itself on providing a caring, dignified, and homely service, including promoting active lifestyles for its residents.

Queen Elizabeth Park

In Guilford Surrey is setting the standard for care in Guildford. It has implemented the Gold Standard Framework to their care planning process and been awarded a Gold Standards Framework Award.

The Gold Standards Framework is an accredited award which promotes excellence in end of life care for people.

The home uses a care plan tool, which is very comprehensive and was created with the assistance of the Alzheimer’s society national institute of clinical excellence guidelines for caring with people with dementia, the national minimum standards and the national service framework for older people.

The latest additions to the Carebase group are:

Acorn Court care home in Redhill, Surrey

Bramley Court Care home in Histon, Cambridgeshire

Both homes were opened in February of this year and have been very well equipped and provide a high standard of accommodation for their residents.
