Treating clients as individuals
At Trebursye Manor we encourage as full and active lifestyle as possible for each client. Above all, each client is treated as an individual. We want clients to feel at home. The friendly atmosphere ensures that everyone is able to continue their daily life with personal privacy and dignity, as well as the highest standards of care.
Care
Our home is run by an experienced Care Home Director, supported by Team Leaders and trained Senior Care Assistants. We employ dedicated staff. Our staff are there for your benefit and should you require anything they will ensure your needs are fully attended to.
HealthCare Trust Ltd has a strong commitment to investment in staff, and there is a corresponding high ratio of specialist to clients. This enables us to offer an outstanding service which is both responsive and relative to an individual's needs.
You can expect and recevie a high standard of care. Each client receives an individual care plan, which is regularly monitored and updated. Clients are welcome to keep their own GP if they remain in the area, or free to choose a new GP of their choice. Additional services such as hair dressing and chiropody can be arranged. Appointments such as dentists and opticians are also arranged for clients.
Bedrooms
Our homes offer an exceptionally high standard of accommodation. Each room has been designed to create a light, comfortable environment and clients are encouraged to personalise their rooms.
In order to make rooms as personal as possible, clients are encouraged to bring personal items and small pieces of furniture with them. The comfortable lounge areas provide clients with access to TV and Radio.
Activities
We believe it is important to give clients as much opportunity as possible for social contact, education and work, within a secure and supervised environment. HealthCare Trust Ltd is able to offer an environment designed to ensure that these needs are met. We aim to provide a wide range of organised and informal activities for clients of all abilities and interests. Clients are encouraged to continue existing interests and activities, take up new ones, or play a part in the day to day running of the home if they wish. We have an activities organiser who arranges a varied and extensive calendar of events and entrainment. There is always something going on every week, and the range of activities on offer is designed to appeal to a broad cross-section of clients. Activities include gentle exercise, gardening, baking, outings, library visits, painting all of which stimulate interest and independence
Integrated Community Living
An important part of life at Trebursye Manor is the strong emphasis on community faculties. Enhanced by visits to the town centre and local places of interest to our clients. A number of community organisations make visits to Trebursye Manor as entertainment for our clients.
Cuisine
As a home, the kitchen is an integral part of life at our homes. There is always a varied menu offering an interesting and nutritious diet. Meals are usually taken in the dining room, but clients may choose to eat in their rooms of they prefer. Our chefs prepare the food each day using fresh ingredients. Food is always prepared and cooked in hygienic and well-equipped kitchens.
Laundry
We provide an in-house laundry service, which will cope with all your laundry requirements.
Visitors
Guests are always welcome as we know how important it is for family and friends to stay in touch. There are no set visiting times, and it is up to you whether you meet your visitors in the lounge, the garden or the privacy of your own room. Refreshments are always available – just ask.
Security
HealthCare Trust Ltd takes security very seriously and it is not something in which we compromise. Our homes are fitted with the very latest fire detecting and monitoring equipment.
Code of Respect
There are designated smoke rooms and designated quiet rooms and further rooms for activities.
Risk Assessments
Regular risk assessments are carried out to ensure the safety of everyone within the home. Effective protocols are in place and are highly individualised in order to facilitate the safety of the client, staff and the public.
