Summerhill is a care home with nursing registered to provide nursing and residential care for up to 71 residents. It is purpose-built of traditional Cumbrian stone to the highest specifications combining a homely atmosphere with every modern convenience.
The Location
Set in a residential conservation area, in the delightful Lake District town of Kendal, it is within walking distance of local shops, post office, chemist, library, GP and bank.
The Home
Large landscaped gardens with mature trees surround the home, offering a gentle stroll or relaxation on the sun terrace. Four lounges and four dining rooms provide opportunities for residents to meet and chat, or to find a peaceful room to read or play cards.All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and most rooms have garden views.

Activties:
Residents are encouraged to continue old interests and take up new ones, ranging from quizzes to yoga. Links with the town are maintained by offering day care to local older people, and a specialist unit offers qualified care to EMI residents.
