Parkview is a long established, newly refurbished care home registered to provide personal and dementia care for up to 53 elderly residents. The home is divided into 4 units, three of which are for residential care and one for dementia care. In total Parkview has 45 single en suite bedrooms and 4 companion rooms.

The home is a large detached property located in the heart of Chingford Mount, with local shops nearby and its garden is a relaxing, enclosed, communal space that backs onto Chingford Memorial Park

Parkview encourages individuality and provides a supportive environment in which its residents can maintain their independence and dignity and enjoy the highest quality of life.

Residents can enjoy the garden all year round from the large conservatory, which forms the focal point of the community at Parkview. It is also where many therapeutic activities are untaken such as flower arranging, gardening and reminiscence activities by a dedicated activities co-ordinator. The  Activities Coordinator attends daily and arranges the social and entertainment programme, which includes outings, theatre visits and trips to the seaside. Private parking is available. A varied menu of fresh home cooked food is served either in the dinning room, or if residents prefer they can choose the peace and quiet of their own rooms or on fine days, they can eat in the garden.

Parkview House's Philosophy:

We recognise that every prospective resident should have the opportunity to choose a home, which suits their needs and abilities.

To facilitate that choice, and to ensure our residents know precisely what services we offer, we will do the following.

  • Provide detailed information on the home by publishing a Statement of Purpose and a detailed service user guide.
  • Give each resident a contract or a statement of Terms; Conditions specifying the details of the relationship.
  • Ensure that every prospective resident has their needs expertly assessed before a decision on admission is taken. We will admit male and female residents aged 60 and above
  • Demonstrate to every person, about to be admitted to the home, that we are confident we can meet their needs as assessed. We will accommodate residents whose needs range from help with activities of daily living to full 24-hour nursing care, as assessed by our trained staff.
  • Offer trial visits to prospective residents and avoid unplanned admissions except in cases of emergency.
