ABOUT MIDDLETON VILLAGE
The largest retirement village of its kind in the UK.
This 80 acre development is situated on beautiful coastal countryside. At Middleton Village, we aim to provide a true village atmosphere, with on site facilities such as a hotel, leisure facilities including indoor swimming pool and tennis court, plus shops and doctor's surgery.
Although the site is aimed at people 55 and over, there will be facilities for family and friends to visit. Pets are welcome too!
The Village is on private land and will have adequate security and features to ensure that Villagers can live in a secure, comfortable and welcoming environment. There will be zero tolerance within the Village with any persons or group who do not respect the dignity and enjoyment of others.
Phase One consisting of 34 apartments and bungalows now under construction, with first occupants due to move in April 2007.
Location
Only six miles from the M6 motorway, and with an abundance of destinations close by including the Lake District, the
new City of Preston and the Fylde Coast resorts. A nearby ferry service can take you to Ireland. International airports at
Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester are nearer than most people think.
Activities
There will be many activities in the Village ranging from tennis to bowls, sailing to chess. You can choose to walk through the extensive gardens and along the water’s edge, or awaken your senses with our rejuvenating spa treatments.
We run daily programmes to give advice on diet, nutrition and safe exercise. Everything is done for each resident according to their needs and wants to ensure a happy, healthy lifestyle. Your spiritual needs can be accommodated in recreational and social activities that are available within the Village. Specialist classes and courses are also arranged.
Amenities
The amenities will include an Inn, General Store and Hairdressers. A spa and beauty salon will allow you to pamper yourself. Our Restaurant and Café will be an ideal location to socialise with friends and family or to just read the newspaper.
