Huntercombe Hall is an elegant Victorian Manor House providing both Nursing and Personal Care to 54 residents. Our Home Manager Lisa Archer is a registered general nurse, with a wealth of experience in supporting elderly people to live as independently as possible, and meeting their individual needs.

Location

Huntercombe Hall is located in the beautiful village of Nuffield and is close to the picturesque towns of Nettlebed, Wallingford and a 15 minute drive from Henley on Thames. Located just off the A4130 Huntercombe is well located for shops, facilities and amenities whilst enjoying views over rural countryside and woodland.

The Home

Huntercombe Hall is a stunning Victorian property that has been sympathetically converted in to a care home of distinction and is stooped in history and provenance.

The Hall provides light and attractive accommodation over two floors which comprises of 42 single en-suite rooms and 6 companion en-suite rooms. Our home has a grand sweeping oak staircase and lift linking the ground and first floor making all areas of the home accessible.

The grounds at Huntercombe Hall provide a haven of wildlife and an idilyic location for residents. The home is surrounded by large landscaped gardens with level lawns which are ideal for residents to enjoy during the summer months.

Our Care

The care and well being of each individual in our care is paramount. We offer flexible and unobtrusive care which is delivered by qualified nurses who are supported by care assistants.

Our aim is to provide care that is as discreet and flexible as possible, and as such we operate a ‘named nurse’ and ‘key worker system’. The named nurse and key worker systems offer continuity by allocating a named nurse and care assistant to each resident, this helps to create familiarity between residents and staff.

The Cuisine

Food is an important aspect of daily life at Huntercombe and our kitchen team place an emphasis on traditional cooking, variety and choice. Meals can be taken in our large dining room or in the garden weather permitting.

The Cost

The fees as at May 2006 range from £350 to £650 per week.
