Highfield Nursing and Residential Home is a purpose built care home, situated 5 minutes from the centre of the historic market town of Saffron Walden, in a leafy and secluded close. It provides nursing, personal and dementia care with accommodation for up to 60 residents in 42 single and 9 double rooms, all of which are en-suite.
Most of Highfield’s rooms have access to the home’s attractive communal courtyard and fountain, as do its communal rooms making it easily accessible for wheelchair users. The home has a hairdressing salon, and a dedicated activities co-ordinator who ensures a varied and rich programme. All food is home cooked on site with fresh ingredients and menus are both varied and nutritious.
The home enjoys excellent relations with the local community and its organisations and amenities, and with its range of care services provides residents with a seamless provision of health services through time, as specific needs arise.
