Drummohr provides nursing, convalescent and respite care for elderly people with physical frailty, dementia and confusion and physical disabilities.
Location
Drummohr is a modern and specially designed two-storey Care Centre set in picturesque lawns in the village of Wallyford, near Edinburgh.
The Home
We offer tastefully styled single bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, while for those with special needs, we provide wheelchair access to all areas, spa baths and other special facilities to make everything as safe, easy and convenient as possible. At Drummohr, we aim to look after not just your physical health, but your whole well-being. Your privacy is respected at all times and when you wish to socialise, we have seven cosy lounges, three with a television.
Activities
If you wish, you can pursue your hobbies and enjoy the books and other activities we provide. You can take in the sun on our lawns, or relax in our Reminiscence or Qualia rooms. If you smoke, one lounge is a designated smoking area. Activities Co-ordinators also plan regular activities such as visits from local entertainers, as well as Christmas celebrations, outings to tea dances and trips to other places of interest.
Services
We arrange regular visits from hairstylists and other professionals such as opticians when needed and, as with all Southern Cross Homes, you are welcome to keep your own doctor and dentist, where convenient.
