Denham Manor is a care home providing nursing and accommodation for up to 53 service users.
The Lcoation
Denham Manor is located to the west of the attractive village of Denham, near Uxbridge. Whilst enjoying a rural outlook with views across open countryside. Denham village itself is a small pretty village where both residents and visitors can avail themselves on the quaint teashops, restaurants and inns. Although the village is surrounded by picturesque countryside commuting distance to central London is a convenient thirty minutes, with the M40, M4 and M25 very close at hand.
Within close proximity of the home are the Denham Golf Club, Denham Yachting Club and Denham Airfield, a small private airfield for light aircraft and helicopters.
The Home
Denham Manor is a privately owned nursing and residential care home set in three acres of beautiful grounds, in a private and secluded residential area. This magnificent country house is a typical gentleman’s residence and is reputed to have once been a base for Sir Winston Churchill during World War II.
The fine house provides a gracious and warm welcome, with full nursing and social care for retired ladies and gentleman. The reception hall and main lounge offer very pleasant surroundings for reading, conversation and for residents to enjoy afternoon tea with their visitors. The dining room provides a spacious setting in which a high standard of cuisine can be enjoyed. Further day rooms include a television lounge, library, smoking room and spacious conservatories all of which provide splendid views overlooking the gardens, which consist of lawns, hedging, flowerbeds and copse.
Our Care
Denham Manor Nursing Home is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to provide both short and long term care packages to elderly people, requiring either residential or nursing care. We provide tailored care plans ensuring that each of our residents receives care appropriate to their individual needs.
It is the aim of everyone at Denham Manor to provide residents with both a comfortable and enjoyable home in very relaxed surroundings but with the special emphasis on nursing care. Our Home manager Barbara Addison supervises trained nurses and healthcare assistants, to ensure that the highest standards of nursing care are maintained at all times.
The Cuisine
In addition to providing excellent nursing and personal care services, Denham Manor also prides itself on the delivery of guest services and residents within this fine home employing qualified chefs to ensure that a varied menu is available at all times, meals can be enjoyed in our elegant dining room or room service is always an option for main meals or lighter snack.
The Servcies
Medical support is provided by a local General Medical Practice and Nurse Practitioner who visit twice a week and at times when required. Referral for consultant advice is made as appropriate. Residents may retain their own G.P. if the GP is happy to visit you and the home and if they so wish.
We also benefit from a visiting chiropodist who visits the home every two weeks, and we can arrange under private consultation for occupational, speech or physiotherapists to visit a resident if required.
