Church View is situated on the outskirts of Stratton and is easily accessible by public transport. The purpose built home is beautifully decorated to create a warm and homely environment for the residents, whilst providing the best care possible. The home welcomes relatives at anytime and they are encouraged to take part in all the activities that take place in the home.
The Location
The home is located within a residential development in Stratton St Margaret, situated on the outskirts of Swindon, and is within walking distance of a local shop.
The Home
Church View's accommodation comprises of 29 single rooms and 7 double rooms, located over two floors with all having en suite facilities. Residents also have access to a lounge and dining area on each floor and a ground floor conservatory, which leads out to an enclosed garden, and patio area.
The Activities
Church View has a dedicated Activities Coordinator who ensures that residents are kept occupied with a packed calendar of events, outings and occasions. The staff get fully involved in the annual Hallmark Hug Day which is designed to show residents and their relatives that they really put the ‘care’ into their homes. Many of the staff use the day as an excuse to get dressed up, play games and raise money for charity. Christmas is also a big occasion in which the staff organise a month long programme of events through December to keep the residents entertained, often another excuse to get dressed up.
