Chestnut Court is a purpose-built care home offering residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 62 residents. It has been beautifully decorated and furnished with each floor having been designed to create a luxury home from home.
The home welcome both long and short-term residents and offers holiday or respite care.
All bedrooms are private and have en-suite facilities and each room has it's own television and telephone point. Residents are invited to bring small items of furniture, ornaments, pictures, photographs and special mementos to make their rooms feel more personal and to feel at home. There are no fixed visiting hours so friends and family can come and visit as usual. Residents decide what to do and when to do it, just as they would at home, and when some help, support and care is needed, the team at Chestnut Court are on hand to provide it.
Chestnut Court has it’s our own consultant doctor who is on hand to assist with any medical advice and attention when required. Alternatively, residents may choose to have their own doctor visit them. An optician and chiropodist also make regular visits.
To ensure constant peace of mind, there is a nurse call system in each bedroom, bathroom and lounge through which residents can call for assistance anytime.
Chestnut Court's Activities Co-ordinator ensures that there is always something going on and residents are encouraged to make suggestions for the activities they would like provided. It is entirely up to the individual just how involved they want to be. For those who prefer, it is always possible to find seclusion and a quiet corner in which to read a book, listen to music or simply relax in the garden.
The home provide a selection of freshly cooked homemade meals, with cakes served with afternoon tea and snacks are available throughout the day.
