Castle View is an imposing, uniquely designed home is built on the Poundbury Estate with its links to the Duchy of Cornwall and located on the outskirts of the county town of Dorchester in Dorset.
Our home is registered to provide nursing care, residential and personal care for up to 57 older people, of which 36 people may require nursing care in 53 single and 4 suites arranged over 4 floors.
The location
Although, Castle View is located on the outskirts of the county town of Dorchester, there are several local and national bus, coach and rail links within the town itself and the home also has car parking space for visitors.
The Home
Castle View provides an atmosphere of spaciousness and light, with its luxurious reception lounge, garden room with French doors leading to patio and garden, large terrace, and second floor lounge with panoramic views over surrounding countryside.
All our accommodation is in single rooms with en-suite facilities, providing our residents with a comfortable, inviting and private living space. The Home also offers four luxury suites with separate sleeping and living areas. Our Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small items of furniture, pictures and a variety of mementos.
Our well-equipped activities room has a kitchenette for the use of residents and visitors alike. There is a fully equipped hairdressing salon, and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

Colten Care Limited aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
The Activities
There is a full programme of activities which include, Reminiscence activities, trips out in the mini bus to local outings, quizzes and musical entertainment.
Residents are encouraged to maintain their links with friends and
family and all visitors are always made welcome.
Our Cost
As at August 2006, the fees charged range from £658 for residential care and £794 for nursing care depending upon the levels of care provided and the room to be occupied.
